DIRECTOR: MARY CAREWE

Mary Carewe’s work as a studio singer has led her to sing for artists such as Elton John, Paul Young, STEPS and Joe Cocker, film composers Danny Elfman, Alan Menken, Hans Zimmer and John Williams and for numerous TV and radio shows and jingles. As a concert performer she has travelled the world and appeared as a soloist at such iconic venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London, Carnegie Hall, New York and The Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.

Over the years Mary has frequently been asked to recommend other singers and put together vocal groups and choirs. VOXAPHONIC is a formalisation of that work and results from her passion for excellence in the recording studio and joy in the art of performance.

Examples of the many varied projects VOXAPHONIC has been involved with include movies such as Disney’s CRUELLA for composer Nicholas Britell and SHE WILL for Clint Mansell, ITV’s VERA for Ben Bartlett and CD recordings TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN 2 for Yusuf Cat Stevens and BING AT CHRISTMAS with the London Symphony Orchestra.
